Community Safety Training Opportunity Available

The Barnesville Police Department is proud to offer free community training to residents, businesses, schools, and organizations in Barnesville and the surrounding areas.

Law enforcement agencies are often asked to provide guidance on how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation. In response to this need, we offer the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course. Developed by ALERRT in 2004, this program is built on the proven Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy and equips participants with practical, life-saving techniques to survive an active threat.

In addition, participants will receive training on how to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding emergencies. The Stop the Bleed course, developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), teaches three simple and effective techniques to control bleeding and potentially save a life before first responders arrive.

These courses are designed to empower individuals with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to act quickly and effectively in critical situations.

To schedule a course contact Lt. Matthew Tippie at 740-425-1976 or by Email.
