The Village of Barnesville Police Department is seeking one candidate for the position of Full Time Police Officer. The Village of Barnesville Police Department is a full time 24/7 department and has a coverage area that consists of approximately 5,000 citizens. The department has a K9 Unit, SRO Program, positions for advancement, benefits, etc. The department prides itself on the relationship that has been built not only with the community but neighboring agencies and organizations as well. As a member of the Village of Barnesville Police Department you will be expected to professionally and efficiently execute the duties of a Police Officer. Other expectations include having respect for those you serve, your co-workers and superiors, yourself, being team oriented, and having pride in what you do, the department, and the community. Requirements for the position include possessing a valid operator’s license and current OPOTA certificate. Candidates will be subject to a background check and drug screen.
