Pumpkin Festival Parking Restrictions & Closures

Welcome to the 61st Annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival!

The Barnesville Police Department invites you to join us for the 61st Annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival, taking place from September 25-28, 2025! Whether you’re a longtime festival-goer or a first-time visitor, we’re excited to celebrate with you. As we prepare for this year’s festivities, we’d like to share some important information and reminders to ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone!

Parking Information

No Parking Zones: September 24-28, 2025

To help keep the festival area clear and safe for all, please be aware of the following No Parking Zones:

  • West Church Street: No parking from North Chestnut to North Gardner
  • West South Street: No parking from South Chestnut to South Gardner

Do Not Block Fire Hydrants & Intersections
We ask all festival-goers to be mindful of fire hydrants and intersections. Please keep these areas clear to ensure that emergency vehicles can navigate through the area if needed.

Sidewalks and Alleyways

  • Do not park on sidewalks or block them. This ensures pedestrian safety.
  • Keep alleyways clear to allow emergency vehicles to pass. Blocking alleyways could delay first responders in an emergency situation.

No Objects in Streets or Alleyways
Please do not place chairs, cones, or roadblocks in the streets or alleyways to block parking spaces. Street parking is public and cannot be reserved by individuals.

Road Closures & Restrictions:

To make way for the Giant Pumpkin Parade on Saturday, September 27, 2025, several areas will be impacted by road closures and parking restrictions. Please take note of these important updates:

  • Parking Restrictions:
There will be no parking on East Main Street and North Chestnut Street during the parade. Look for signs posted in the area.
  • Road Closures:
The following roads will be closed from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM to accommodate the parade:

Alternative Routes are highly recommended to avoid delays.
  • Village Lot Closures:
Several Village parking lots will close to allow for festival set-up starting on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, by 5:00 PM. The East Main Lot (between Cheffy Drugs and Avenues of Barnesville) and the West Main Parking Lot (next to Blue Moon Tavern) will remain closed until Sunday, September 28, 2025. If you typically park in these lots, please have your vehicle moved to an alternate parking area before set-up begins.

Street Closures: September 22-28, 2025

To help facilitate the festival, the following street closures will be in effect starting Monday, September 22 through Sunday, September 28, 2025:

These closures will affect access to various areas around the festival grounds, so please plan your travel accordingly.

Safety Reminder

With the increased pedestrian traffic around the Pumpkin Festival, we urge everyone to drive carefully and be cautious near crosswalks. If you see an emergency vehicle with flashing lights and sirens, please pull over safely to allow them to pass quickly. This helps ensure first responders can reach emergencies without delay.

Please yield to pedestrians at all crosswalks and follow all posted signs and safety guidelines. Your cooperation helps us make this a fun and safe event for all!
