The Village of Barnesville recently completed a test on March 1, 2023 of the Emergency Alert Notification System CodeRED for residents that reside within the village limits. This test was successful. Within seconds the village was able to send out 2,447 phone calls, 482 text messages, and 180 emails. Along with the alert being posted on Facebook, Twitter, the village website, and the CodeRED Mobile App.
